Televideo, the first technology to provide accessibility: still young after 40 years
For decades Televideo has been using simple technology to really reach everyone, even those in 'unconnected' parts of the country. The services it provides are those of accessibility, such as subtitles for the hearing impaired on page 777, but also those of access to information and services useful to all, by Rai Pubblica Utilità.

Accessible design: artefacts 4 all
Accessibility also involves the design of products, which can affect the user experience and more generally the autonomy of different categories of people in the various activities of daily life. Even more so, the challenge of designing 'for everyone' means aiming to leave no potential user of a product unsatisfied. How can such a challenge be met? We will ask ourselves together.

Understanding How Algorithms are Negatively Impacting Women and why we should all care
Algorithms are biased as mostly white, men from developed countries are developing them, affecting results to benefit women. This not only turns into sexist and racist algorithms expanding discriminatory practices through automation, but providing limited business possibilities for not taking into account the needs of a wider spectrum of the population. Solutions are provided as a wide invitation for having more diverse teams and fostering more Women in Tech, from different backgrounds

LIS2Speech. Increasing accessibility for deaf people: opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence
The limited knowledge of LIS restricts the ability of deaf individuals to effectively communicate with the rest of the population. This is critical in contexts such as public administration, healthcare, or tourism. By combining deep learning and computer vision, it is possible to develop smartphone apps and AR goggles capable of translating LIS in real time. We will share scientific findings and some proposals to address the main challenges: the availability of gloss datasets and video stream processing

Chronicity, Illness, and Social Representation: Reflections from a Clinical Perspective
In recent years, the representation of endometriosis, PCOS, vulvodynia, fibromyalgia, PMDD, and other conditions related to chronic pain, gynecological, and systemic issues on social networks has exponentially increased. The social representation of illnesses (both physical and mental) constitutes a valuable resource for both users and professionals: patients and users can find a community, information, discussion, and support; clinical staff can use these spaces for scientific dissemination, awareness raising, and direct communication with users. However, social spaces can also facilitate the spread of inaccurate information and polarization. This contribution therefore has a dual objective: the first is to reflect, from the perspective of a person working in the clinical field, on ways to bring users and professionals closer together, using social media to bridge the gap between these two groups of people; the second is to provide insights into the limitations, negative aspects, and potentially risky aspects of the social representation of chronicity and illness, and to propose strategies to minimize them.
